The glaze is shiny and intact, the gold trim intact, shiny, and undisturbed. There are no chips, cracks, stains, nor crazing present. These china items came from an estate sale, having been kept in an enclosed china cabinet in a non-smoking home. The set had been given as a gift, but had never been used. They were stored with protective cloths between stacked items.
